Calling all women entrepreneurs!
Seattle Girls’ School is currently recruiting women entrepreneurs and business leaders to participate in a working Idea Incubator Business Breakfast with the 8th grade students. The girls will be pitching their unique inventions or innovative ideas to you, looking for feedback and support. The “working breakfast” will take place at Seattle Girls’ School on Friday, October 17th from 9- 11 AM. If you would like to join us, please RSVP with the 8th grade Science teacher, Carly Reiter, at email@example.com. Thank you!
The Idea Incubator project summary
This 6-week project requires students to come up with a unique invention or innovative idea that has the potential to positively influence the world. Students begin by researching important inventions throughout history. They then are able to brainstorm ideas for their own creations, using important concepts of discovery from the past, in addition to thinking about all of the things that “bug them” in their own lives. They will have to thoroughly research their idea, create a plan to make their idea become reality, and then pitch their idea to a panel of entrepreneurs and business leaders during a “working breakfast” on October 17th. Think: Invention Convention meets the reality TV show The Shark Tank, and then add a little Quirky.com and you’ll get The 8th Grade Idea Incubator project.
