Idea Incubator – Call for Volunteers

Call for Women Project Mentors

Can you Help Us With our 8th Grade Idea Incubator?

The Idea Incubator
We’re looking for women volunteers to be project mentors and technical consultants for our students. These mentors will provides project development guidance and feedback via email and/or telephone with a student or pair of students.

This two-month project requires students to come up with a unique invention or innovative idea that has the potential to positively influence the world. Students will work through the Design Cycle as they consult with industry mentors to clarify their ideas and perfect their proposals. They will then pitch their idea to a panel of women entrepreneurs and scientists during The Idea Incubator Event.

Join the Idea Incubator Event on Friday, Nov 20th 8:45-10:15 AM with a panel of women leaders and provide critical feedback to the students’ final product pitches. It’s Seattle Girls’ School version of (the reality TV show) Shark Tank!

If you’d like to volunteer, or attend the Incubator Event, please contact Carly Reiter, Dean of Academic Innovation, at creiter@seattlegirlsschool.org. Thank you in advance for helping us spread the word!
